BRONZE PINFIRE GUNS Over the last 15 years I have collected and studied Bronze Pinfire Guns.
They ranged from the large 12MM revolvers to as small as 5MM revolvers. Most of the Bronze Pinfire Guns
were 7MM revolvers and 7MM pepperboxes . The pepperbox shown below is one of the pieces from the collection.

7MM BRONZE PINFIRE PEPPERBOX

7 MM Bronze Pinfire Pepperbox is engraved with scroll design on the cylinder and frame. The 1.9-inch long fluted cylinder
has 6 barrels each having a small bronze blow-out plug (see photo above). This is the only bronze pinfire gun that I have seen with this
feature. Grips are wood with nice checkering.
Ejector rod is screwed in the butt of the pistol. The gun works does not work correctly. When the trigger is pulled,
the hammer does not go back. The trigger return spring is in place and working. The gun looks good and I never got around to taking it
a part to fix it.
MARKING: British proof marks are located at each barrel in the cylinder fluting. There is a maker's mark on the right side of frame in front of cylinder. It is very small and all most unreadable (see photo below) and I am told that the maker is Jean Mathieu Depreza gunmaker in Liege, Belgium 1857-1863. Note: There are no Liege, Belgium proof marks on this gun.
