BRONZE PINFIRE GUNS Over the last 15 years I have collected and studied Bronze Pinfire Guns.
They ranged from the large 12MM revolvers to as small as 5MM revolvers. Most of the Bronze Pinfire Guns
were 7MM revolvers and 7MM pepperboxes . The pepperbox shown below is one of the pieces from the collection.

7MM BRONZE PINFIRE PEPPERBOX

7 MM Bronze Pinfire Pepperbox has no engraving. In collecting these guns, I found that it was very difficult
to find plain any non-engraved bronze pinfire guns. This gun has a rare bronze hammer. Only a few of the Bronze Pinfire
Guns have bronze hammers and most of the time they are broken or missing (see 12MM Bronze Pinfire Revolver).
The 1.9-inch long fluted cylinder has 6 barrels with each barrel rifled. Grips are wood with nice checkering.
Ejector rod is screwed in the butt of the pistol. The gun works good.
MARKING: Liege Belgian Proof mark and inspector's mark, crown over the letter N, are located on the back side of the cylinder. With this type of inspector mark, the gun was made before 1877. On the right side of frame is stamped with the numbers 285 with a maker's mark (unreadable). On the left side is stamped with the numbers 5122 and the same maker's mark (see photos below).
