A Fine French or Dutch Antique Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, circa 1720. The .56 caliber side-by-side plumb brown barrels are 9 inches long, with brass blade front sight; Beautiful "Dog Safety" locks (signed but hard to make out), with simple line boarder engraving; High-relief engraved/chiseled brass furniture; 3/4 Stock has high relief carving and is solid with exception to a small chip missing from the left side at the butt cap (see photo); has normal light scratches and dings from years of handling; original horn tip ram rod. The overall length of this rare double barrel flintlock pistol is 15.75 inches and it is in good working order.
