Antique English Flintlock Turn-Off Cannon Barrel Pistol by I. HALL, FECIT, LONDON, circa 1735. The removable screw off barrel length is 4 7/8 inch long, .577 (regulation) caliber and the over all barrel length assembled with the 3-stage iron turn-off cannon barrel is 6.5 inches; breech stamped with two PRIVATE PROOFS and Barrel Maker's mark. Lock has decorative engraving and maker’s marked I. HALL FECIT; Fine engraved brass furniture. Stock has a grain crack running the length of the stock that was mended/repaired during the working life of the pistol; nice relief carving around the barrel tang and the tails of the lock plate and side plate, otherwise solid with scratches and dings from years of service. The overall length of this British flintlock pistol is 12.5 inches and it is in good working order.
