A Fine Large Antique 17th Century Italian Horse Pistol, circa 1690-1720. The 12-inch long .58 caliber, (3-stage) octagon-to-round-to-round iron barrel has maker marked on the top flat of LAZARI COMINAZ; Finely engraved lock; Very nice brass furniture including a wonderful open high-relief serpant side plate, lower ram rod pipe has old repair. Stock has wonderful grain with high relief carving around all boarders, has age cracks in the fore-end but stable, with light scratches and dings from years of service. The pistol overall length is 19 inches and it is in good working order.
