A Fine British Royal Navy brass barrel flintlock Sea Service Ships swivel blunderbuss (Espingole) by; BRANDER & POTTS, LONDON, circa. 1780-1798. The octagon to round brass blunderbuss barrel is 22.25 inches long; has cannon muzzle and marked with two Tower private proofs and the barrel makers mark * over MM; Brass regulation Sea Service pattern furniture. Stock is solid with normal period scratches and dings from years of service. The wrought iron post and yoke are replacements. This blunderbuss is 38.75 inch overall length, in wonderful untouched condition and in good working order.
