BRONZE PINFIRE GUNS For over 15 years I collected and studied Bronze Pinfire Guns.
They ranged from the large 12MM revolvers to as small as 5MM revolvers. Most of the Bronze Pinfire Guns
were 7MM revolvers and 7MM pepperboxes . The revolver shown below is one of the pieces from the collection.

7 MM Bronze Pinfire Revolver has very nice scroll and floral engraving on the frame and cylinder.
This is an unusual small framed 7MM pinfire revolver with a very long 5.5-inch long barrel. There is probably no collector's name
for this size pinfire revolver but over the years I have refereed to this type as 7MM short because of to short length of the
cylinder and it is also smaller in diameter. See photo below for size comparison.
The over all length of tthis revolver is 9 inches. the grips are made of white ivory and has a few cracks near the butt of the gun.
The loading gate is made of steel and looks to be original to the gun.
The gun action fuction is excellent and the over all condition is very good.
MARKINGS: Liege Belgian Proof mark and inspector's mark, crown over the letter Z,
are located on the cylinder and the inspector's mark is alos located on the right side of the barrel.
With this type of inspector mark, the gun was made before 1877.

The top revolver is a standard 7MM bronze pinfire revolver and the bottom is this 7MM short pinfire revolver.
Note the smaller diameter and shorter length of the cylinder. Also the barrel is slightly smaller in diameter.
