BRONZE PINFIRE GUNS For over 15 years I collected and studied Bronze Pinfire Guns. They ranged from the large 12MM revolvers to as small as 5MM revolvers. Most of the Bronze Pinfire Guns were 7MM revolvers and 7MM pepperboxes . The revolver shown below is one of the pieces from the collection.

9 MM Bronze Pinfire Revolver has checkered engraving on the frame and cylinder. The barrel is 6 inchs long and the over all length of the revolver is 10.5 inches. Grips are plain wood with small cracks near the screw mounting holes. The grip mounting screw is missing (lost by gunsmith) and on the left side of barrel there is and area approximately 3/4- inch long of oxidation where something saw stuck to the barrel. The gun's action fuctions good and the over all condition of this bronze pinfire revolver is good.

MARKINGS: Liege Belgian Proof mark and inspector's mark, crown over the letter U, are located on the cylinder and inspector's mark is also located on the lower right side of barrel frame. With this type of inspector mark, the gun was made before 1877.
