BRONZE PINFIRE GUNS For over 15 years I collected and studied Bronze Pinfire Guns. They ranged from the large 12MM revolvers to as small as 5MM revolvers. Most of the Bronze Pinfire Guns were 7MM revolvers and 7MM pepperboxes . The revolver shown below is one of the pieces from the collection.

9 MM Bronze Pinfire Revolver has high quality scroll engraving on the frame, bottom of the trigger guard, at the cylinder end of barrel and some edge line engraving on the cylinder. The barrel is 6.1 inchs long and the over all length of the revolver is 10.75 inches. Grips are made of dark rosewood color wood and are in very good condition. The unusual feature is the .75 diameter hole through the grip and frame. This hole is very nicly finished and is original to the gun. At one time there may have been and insert having the maker's name or the owner's name, emblem or other decoration. There is no attachment device or marks in the hole, so it could be it was made with the hole just for the unusual look. The gun's action fuctions very good and the over all condition of this bronze pinfire revolver is excellent .

MARKINGS: British Proof marks are located on the cylinder at each bore. there are two small marks on the underside of the barrel but are not readable.
